Description:
Bergamid™ BG6900-8029 RS GR006 is a 45 % glass-fiber reinforced, heat-stabilized polyamide MXD6 compound designed for injection-moulded parts that require very high stiffness, ultra-low warpage, excellent surface aesthetics and good barrier properties. The grade is supplied as grey-black pellets.
Key Features
45 % GF reinforcement → metal-like stiffness (16 GPa) at 40 % lower weight vs. aluminium
Near-isotropic shrinkage → very low post-mould distortion, ideal for large flat panels and precision housings
Excellent surface finish → ready for painting, metallisation or direct assembly without priming
Good oxygen & CO₂ barrier (MXD6 base) → suitable for fuel-line connectors and packaging applications
Heat-stabilised package → long-term ageing up to 120 °C (RTI)
Typical Applications
Automotive: body panels, radiator end-caps, door-handle substrates, mirror housings, clutch / brake pistons
E&E: projector housings, motor end-shields, bobbins, connector blocks
Industrial: pump impellers, compressor vanes, power-tool housings, furniture structural inserts
