Description:
Base Polymer
Semi-crystalline, partially-aromatic polyamide (MXD6/MXDI) – high-viscosity, extrusion & blow-moulding grade
Appearance
Natural color pellets (transparent-to-opaque depending on wall thickness)
Key Features
Outstanding gas & aroma barrier (CO₂, O₂, moisture) – up to 10× better than standard PA6
Very high melt strength – ideal for blown film, cast film, pipe, sheet & blow-moulded containers
Low water uptake – mechanical and barrier properties remain stable even at high relative humidity
Food-contact compliant – EU 10/2011, FDA 21 CFR §177.1500, NSF, WRAS, KTW, ACS¹
Excellent thermal stability – continuous use up to 100 °C (short-term 150 °C)
Good chemical resistance to oils, greases, alcohols and alkaline cleaners
High transparency & gloss in thin sections; easy to pigment or co-extrude with other polyamides
Typical Applications
Multilayer food & beverage packaging films (cheese, meat, coffee, retort pouches)
PET beer bottle inner barrier layers (monolayer or co-injection stretch-blow)
Aroma-tight blister packs for pharmaceuticals & cosmetics
Collapsible tubes for toothpaste, condiments, cosmetics
Fuel lines & under-hood pneumatic tubing – low fuel & vapour permeation
Household & industrial pipe systems – hot-water, coffee-machine tubing
