Description:
Nylon-MXD6 K7007C is a 30% glass-fiber-reinforced polyarylamide (PARA) injection-moulding grade supplied by Mitsubishi Gas Chemical.  The resin combines high stiffness, excellent surface appearance and very low moisture uptake, making it an ideal “metal-replacement” solution for thin-wall, high-gloss and food-contact parts.


Key Features
High rigidity & strength: Flexural modulus 4.4 GPa, flexural strength 160 MPa
Mirror-like, resin-rich surface straight from the mould – ready for painting, plating or high-gloss appearance
Extremely low water absorption (equilibrium 0.6 % @ 23 °C, 65 % RH) – parts stay flat and keep tolerances even in humid environments
Slow crystallisation (t½ ≈ 1.5 min @ 160 °C) gives uniform shrinkage and low warpage
Good flowability – easily fills wall sections down to 0.5 mm at 30 % glass loading
Excellent barrier to oxygen, CO₂ and moisture (OTR < 0.1 cm³·m⁻²·day⁻¹ @ 23 °C, 40 µm film)
Broad chemical resistance to automotive fluids, cleaning agents, aliphatic & aromatic hydrocarbons, glycol-based media
Suitable for e-beam, gamma and EtO sterilisation

Processing Guidelines
Melt temperature: 240 – 260 °C
Mould temperature: 120 – 140 °C (higher mould T gives optimum crystallinity and surface gloss)
Injection speed: medium-high (ensures fibre orientation and surface quality)
Drying: 4 h @ 80 °C (moisture ≤ 0.02 %)
